How we came to be
Ours is a humble beginning that grew out of a love for our cars and the community in which we now thrive. That is not to say we are not with out our hardships and the road has been long and hard.
The business was established back in 2011 between three partners Each of which brought their own expertise to the table. Two of those partners have long since left and one remains, Alex Ignocio is the remaining sole owner/operator of Real Auto Dynamics and, at the time was struggling with the business for one big reason. He was now left with out a tuner. The one key component a business like this can not survive without. But that did not stop him. After coming to the realization that finding a suitable replacement was not going to be easy, it was becoming obvious that he would have to take on the role of Tuner himself. So after many hours of training and over the course of several years through both online and in-person training sessions and after years of experience, he has now reached the status of Master Tuner and is deserving of the respect that comes with that title. Real Auto Dynamics has since become known for car platforms such as Nissan, Infiniti, Audi/Volkswagen, Porsche, Honda and Ford and the list keeps growing.
Then a mere year later and without warning tragedy strikes. Enter Hurricane Sandy. Unfortunately for RAD they were located in the worst possible location in Oceanside NY on Lawson Blvd. The lowest point in the area. Sandy's fury was without impunity. The flood waters reach a staggering 8 feet and everything inside and outside the shop was destroyed including customer vehicles.
Regardless, Alex was determined to keep his business afloat (pardon the pun) so sought the help of funds being offered by FEMA at the time but was denied any kind of compensation so he ended up taking out a high interest loan and started to rebuild.
That brings us to the employees... Some of the greatest group of guys (and gals) both past and present. At that time Alex had no money to give and rather than seeking out new employment elsewhere, they all deemed Real Auto Dynamics worth saving at all costs. So with out hesitation, they all started pitching in to recover what can be recovered and move what could be moved - and on into the new facility they went - just a few doors down from where they were all with little to no pay.
Well the story doesn't end there and it seems the universe had a few more blows to give like the pandemic and the New York state government, inflation and the supply chain. But after all, they are still around where most other businesses would be long gone. This, in my opinion, speaks to the integrity and sheer enthusiasm and will the owner and his employees have for cars and the services they provide.
where we are going
There are still many challenges ahead of us and probably some more hardships. We are not perfect... no shop is. but we understand the business and take customer satisfaction very personally. We accomplish that by honing our skills, buying state of the art equipment and hiring a very diverse employee base and listening to what the customer wants.
To some, the performance automotive industry is in declining. We do not take that attitude. We seek alternative parts and processes, research new emerging technologies and leverage our dealer network to help generate revenue. With time comes change and if you are not willing to evolve and change with it, you are doomed to fail.
